Well, most people that commented on the first chapters of my story (only posted here) had gotten quite hung up about my use of the word merge instead of absorb. It seems to be the same nitpicky kind of culture, at least from what I saw. Only difference is the language used in your example and how we talk is a much more individualistic metric.

You haven't seen the worst. Nitpickers are just Lv 2 pricks in that site in a scale of 10.

That being said it is odd to click on a story you have no intention of reading just to leave a negative review (something I have also witnessed on SH)

SH is 2nd in my list of 'bad sites' though it has mellowed from 2023-present, mainly because many users got too busy with stuff irl.

2020-2022 era is the worst.

You are the only person I know that actually posts on Honeyfeed. I take it the cultures of these sites came into play with that decision.
