I also wish more people commented. I began our BL Support group to promote exactly that... TT___TT, for instance.

It's scary. You don't want to alienate them or annoy them too much, at least as some thread here on SHF says. They say it's just as annoying as Youtubers going "Please Like and Subscribe" and turns some people off .

it goes both way some readers worry they r pressuring, they come on to strong, and stress out authors with obligation.

I think its like dating in olden times... do I text them again... should I ask them to call me? I don't wanna sound needy, do they care about me?

Then what to call people who are not your readers and are not commenters but someone constantly keeps reading and liking your chapters for some reason?

Can one get writer/reader married? What is Netorare like in such a case?

"i was at home... reading your chap 18"

" i was just fooling around! it wasn't serious! I swear!"

I've been using polls to get feedback, as well as teasing or asking my readers to comment via them.

Seems to work reasonably well, for instance:

Do the no ones mean the thing that follows was the thing they hated the most?
