Honestly the way I would do it would probably to pick one tag (maybe Trans Male Character?), and then scroll down to see if any of the results seem interesting. A lot of authors tag their stories with random stuff, so sometimes it's hard to search multiple tags unless you're positive that they're popular tags.

Oh, um... ao3 tends to have a lot of smut, btw... >.<

Yeah, action/adventure I feel like can sometimes be harder to find. I'll let you know if I ever stumble across anything!
