Is this why some girls wear those cat collar necklaces with bells on them? Is this some deep girl lore I am learning now?!

I was forced to wear a bell at my work for a year or so and was nicknamed Beetlejuice because I would disappear and reappear without any warning. Even with the bell on, I startled people. Glad it wasn't just me
