I'm gonna ask... What are you even talking about?

To put it bluntly, when an author decides to showcase real life problems, such as inequality in life where the 1% is whacking the 99% like hammering nails and/ or nepotism and cronyism that are actively screwing the supposed main characters and crew, maybe not lean so heavily into realism?

I know I might not be the intended audience at this point, I understand that the author seeks realism in the work instead of the usual wish fulfilment.

And that means that shit will hit the fan for the MC.

The thing is, when shit hits the fan, it hits hard.

Till date I still can't accept that Rustal in IBO is the final winner. And all that is left for Mikazuki is just an offspring and his family living in constant fear of the winner.

At least Iok died horribly. Thank lord.

Seriously, wtf with all creators somehow screwing the endings.
.........ah.
Maybe like i once said, its bc "author lose the mindset of a reader"
oooh that is why.

or they trolling.

Though its kinda funny seeing some axed CNs where the author spoil the whole remaining arcs/ending.
Showing that they kinda have the idea of what will happen in X period Y period Z period until end.

Paladin Dad, favorite and popular raw, is rushed ending but somehow its the ending i empathy with author XD
Bc its not that he DONT but CANT, bc its flawed idea from start:"currently fusion earth x isekai"

Meanwhile there is the special category of : FORCED BY OTHERS

A CN once said that SLAMDUNK manga had this crappy ending bc early era mangakas was exploited like slave unlike now. So dude retaliated by doing it like that.
Meanwhile Death Note, its kinda easy to understand that if MC win vs the police, it would be too controversial to the very very very TAME jp.

To be honest, I never really know if I am reading works that are pandering towards me or just somehow the stars aligned and what the author enjoys to write is what I enjoy to read.

I don't think that the creators will screw with their planned endings intentionally, but I do hate it if they had plans to pull the old switcheroo with the good start to lure in readers and then "tragedy strikes in 3, 2"

So i guess its kinda for this reason, IBO (is it Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans?)
ending is not resolved.

AND
50% bc author LACK SKILLS.
Hence not doing it.

I had read that authors who were bullied by their readers into changing so much of the plot to pander to the crowd.

One author actually wrote "it is fun to read a wish fulfilment, it is not to write one out" and proceeded to axe the work on the spot.

IBO season 2 was going pure in with realism.

Maybe Bandai was iffy at a bunch of child soldiers beating the crap out of what is equivalent to the world government and went "nope, this is too much" and decides to rein it back in.

Trouble was, it was pure angst. Sure, when Barbatos beat Hashmal, I still recalled the fun times.

Yep there is a fine balance between the 2.

Then during the gritty realistic times, we had soul crushing moments when the world government had CIA assassinating the shit out of MC crew.

MC crew ended up following a huge retard and lost.

MC crew got betrayed and got drive-by.

MC crew on the verge of a wipeout.

Then Mikazuki the MC and gymbro tried to do a stand off, they got nuked. Because they are fighting against the govt.

They don't have to play by gang rule, they can just nuke.

And it was at that point, I felt shitty.

The author that i quote sometimes about his rant of readers quality plummeting and masterpieces would flop appearing today, in his next book "Im the strongest matchmaker" he once seen people commenting he did too many "high price customers recently for MC hence redundant" so he apologized and he said he gonna go back to normal people soon.

Morale of story : Authors should listen to readers but not be influenced. Know WHEN to stick to self and when to not be stubborn.

tldr : introspection
or "reader mindset"

To be honest, jp gov is underestimated, and influence on normal people/mangakas/creators.

I mean. Maybe im wrong, but look at DeathNote 2 ONESHOT (or something they did far later on its kinda unknown / not the fan ending for Kira)

MC is basically random guy. "Oh im not dumb and will sell it to jp gov and be totally safe and rich"
Plan perfect. WORKS EVEN.
DEUS MACHINA : DEATH GOD : "I gonna add this rule you cant sell deathnotes, TOTALLY BY COINCIDENCE AS HE SELL IT"

MC dies with the bag of money. END

So or this duo mfer (artist+writer duo, i near wonder if their bakuman manga is a true story) fking hate their readers/fans
or they are trolling
or they are lazy fucks (bc now older+busy) that cant invent a good story+ending (DeathNote sucks after L death and some details are weird like the goth heroine and style in general)
or gov not allowing them to write a MC that cant beat gov in any ways.
