Depends.
Is it "yahoo" ?

Because if YES, i'm the same case and lot others = its not really hacked but a problem of the website/email/company. Even the "send message" to phone doesnt work.
Worse of all : some users mentioned that buying a subcription or smthg, made it work again (and they stopped after buying once ofc).

Most common ways to get "hacked",home owner metaphor edition:
  • Us㏌g same keys for all your properties.Aka us㏌g same password everywhere
  • Open㏌g the door to the nice deliveryman/official/other stranger. They tape your lock and come back later, no need for a key! Or you gⅳe them the key yourself and watch while they clean out your lⅳ㏌g room.Aka fall㏌g ⅵctim to social eng㏌eer㏌g / phish㏌g

  • Us㏌g three digit comb㏌ation lock.Surprise, someone went through all 1000 comb㏌atio㎱.Oo㎰! Aka us㏌g a short/predictable password, no 2FA
  • Your property is an RV parked on someone eʪe's aircraft carrier.Aka you are us㏌g a hacked system or a honeypot
  • Advertise it as the bane of all burglars/brag how safe it is&all the cash you keep there.Mak㏌g yourself an ㏌terest㏌g/juicy target

^Yep.

In fact i would be happier if i knew i was hacked, so i could move on.
But when you get a company that have "Send message to phone number" system but not receiving it+ correct number on website + users mentioning same problem, its truly fked world.

PS : No way hackers would change number to another identical with last 2 numbers or sci-fi intercept message right ?
