A serious attempt at being a parody

Why bruh?

It's a very serious parody that has somehow become serious literature as a result of being a serious parody.

So it is a joke?

Bruh.

My guess is that it's an attempt at isekai parody, but (the anime at least) falls into so many of the tropes that I never understood how people thought it was a deconstruction or such.

Plot- Generic; Harem- Of course; Cliché characters- Main course;

Only the mc is a bit quirky and its meta that his delusions are actually real...but they don't do it in a funny or interesting way. Nothing about it works for me.

I think I read the novels years back then ... I never had the feeling that it was a parody. But maybe I am just confusing settings. I only remember some banking nonsense after which I threw it out of the window.

Something about inflation of metal coins.

Don't forget the Venom suit fetish which exists for some reason.
