Ah, yeah, Edge and Ritsu. I don't really know what happened with them, b/c I went away during the time. And I think you might be referring to TearKitty, who is friggin' obsessed with minimalist writing and paring thing down to bare bones.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I just randomly updated FP's version of Touch one day...

@EternalSunset0 I was on FictionPress for a brief time in 2011, when I hung out with another writing group that was already dwindling, but I went to Wattpad in 2011 back when it was super popular, the complete opposite of what it is now. When I cam back to FicitonPress at round 2013-2014, I'd already made pretty big dent in Wattpad with my poetry and stuff.

@JaxCreation Yeah, I know the feeling whenever I look back on Behind the Mirror. It just doesn't reflect my current writing, so I doubt I'll ever write a new installment of it. If I ever go back to that story, I'll probably revamp it from the ground up.

The guy I'm referring to is the one who would post walls of text calling the plot trash, the characters lifeless husks, etc. I'm pretty sure it's not minimalist writing he went after.

Needless to say, that intimidated the hell out of mid-2010s me.

Now that I'm reminiscing and such, I also remember a username kingofe? Did I spell it right? I interacted with him a few times.

I also enjoyed cud-be-better's work too.

Now I'm feeling nostalgic. I kinda wish the early-mid 2010s would return.

Hmmmmmm. Okay, if it's not Tearkitty, then the only other person I can think of is Zeke, who kind of gives off that vibe, but I'm not sure if he's the one you're talking about.

Yeah, I remember those two. I only read Kingofe's story once during story club, and I never got a chance to read cud-be-better's story, though I have dipped into it from time to time. I also really liked Louis-sama's BadeArc story. Then there's Benehime who wrote another cool story from the sound of it, but I never got a chance to read it, b/c he deleted it and left when I was there in 2013-2014.

Yeah, Zeke was pretty rough around the edges. I think that he went off against someone during story club for refusing to nominate her story b/c her house was destroyed by a hurricane (I'm not sure who it was, though), but I remember Zeke saying she was making shit up, and I confronted him in the PMs b/c of it.

And uh, that's a good question. There was an option to upload a banner image somewhere - I just don't remember where, lol.

Well, I don't remember reading through it, but I think I just perused Benehime's story a bit, and it had military stuff with sci-fi/fantasy elements in it. That's all I remember.

Ah, well, I guess I'll have to figure that out on my own . . . some day.

Well, thanks for showing me a wholesome reunion/slice of life happening, I will categorise this event in my memories under "life"
