If the US hadn't gotten out of Nam, a few more generations would love to experience the jungle hell while being deemed as monsters deserving to get no help from anyone and haunted by PTSD for the rest of their lives.

For what it's worth It is good that they got out. Kennedy and Johnson basically forced thousands of Americans to be part of a civil war they had no business in.
