It's the stat you use to comprehend the overarching plotlines of a 4000-chapter-long cultivation novel.

What stat do you use to comprehend cumbersome and useless magic systems?

Wisdom. Aka, copy-paste it into ChatGPT, and make it summarize it for me. Or just skip it.

I would disagree, everyone possesses intelligence, most people just have rudimentary or the necessary level intelligence, in other words you don't need to be Einstein to do your taxes.

On a side, and more serious note, this question of mine made me think of something. Overengineering is bad. Are those huge magic or power systems overengineered? :blob_hmm: I should probably make a thread about it.

They are bad. I have been arguing today about this with some of my readers who campaign for overexplaining everything. I didn't know when I started that kingdom-building brings in this many people who can't enjoy a story if it's not constructed as a lexicon. And you know my stuff, it is already not something that would be considered compact.

Expecting normal readers when you write a kingdom-building story is like expecting readers who want plot(not that kind of plot) when you write smut.
