A solution/step to the goal to the west, and a counter argument to that in the east. You begin by building a chain from the goal/ideal state to the current state/material conditions until you get to a reasonable distance to climb on.
Then you use the conversation between possbile solution and counter argument/solution to bridge the gap and bring the current state to the ideal state.
I have been doing this while playing go/reviewing games and it has helped. I haven’t had a long enough sit to actually think through and try to apply it to real life, but hopefully this can help/inspire you! If you have questions feel free to ask.
Thanks! I was listening to a critique of Hegel and read Marx and Engles ‘The German Ideology’, long story short they both use the dialectic to analyze the world and made little sense. Hegel focused on the ideal and thoughts, and Marx and Engles on the material world.
I decided that they were both too far in their direction and too complex for my taste so I smushed them together while trying to simplify it as much as possible. I think that it might be too mechanical or mechanistic, but it is good enough for me.
