Yeah mold can be an issue. It could also be a new allergy you have developed. If you can afford it you can have one of those allergy tests done. This all assuming you haven’t developed asthma, copd, or something. Have you gotten a chest X-ray yet? It can see if you have lung scarring or any infections.

P.s. I didn’t know you have had this for a year…

Nah.
2023 i think? (anyway you werent there)

I had heavy coughing for a long time. After 5? months finally healed. (Dumbass me not going doc bc fearing they put me in for corona)
So a decent while, be cold => coughing a little or medium quantity.
It became better after but still felt the body was "more sensitive to cold" unlike "hot blood coursing".

And well, this "eating in wrong pipe" situation happened.
So with the "fumes (medication-oil?)" and common cold thingy + hot chicken soup, i'm better.

But yesterday i was fine in cold temp, but tonight, a small cough (very begin a few s bc ultra cold).

Anyway, i think mold is the trouble. (very likely) (Edit : 90% sure)

+ maybe had a little scarring too from prev situation 1y ago.

ps : Not having asthma, copd (googled just n), or any big symptoms. And i can bear cold temp than during the "period of recup after the big cough", but when its ultra cold, can't help coughing (but very benign like a cold but feels the lungs are affected or wind pipe).

Probably mold, but if it ever gets worse tell your doctor about your 5 months of heavy coughing. Lung scarring can be dangerous if you do have it, but that is only if. As for coughing/wheezing when cold, cold air can constrict and irritate your airways. This makes it difficult to breathe especially if they are clogged by mucus. Keep in mind however I ain’t a health professional so take my words with a grain of salt…

Let me recap (easier understanding).

1y ago =
At night stayed too long cold -> Cold
But for very long while (months). And also when outside, little better.
Healed later. But body weaker / cant resist cold temps (very fragile to temps, the 2+ months following it). But very very healthy.

Now the "eating wrong piper" situation.
Tsuru
Tsuru
False alarm.
And for this 3+ days, from heavy coughing to nothing. And seemingly healthier than before.
[Mucus expulsed but like, near nothing at all (quantity) but at same time clearly felt they came from windpipe, which is a satisfying cleaning]

But this morning, had again cough. (Just did fumes and now better)
Tsuru

Also the cough, is like the sound and feels, similar when kid smell a smoker nearby and cough in a high-pitch.
Not lungs but the breathing-pipe itchy.

End :
despite not 100%, its 90% sure its mold++allerg+dust+cold combined. And know where is the problem is (thx to self-analyze of situations and items being dangerous factors, some old and/or nest bacterias). ty very much.

Np, and srry if I am coming off as rude, but what is the eating wrong pipe thing exactly? Does it feel like when you swallow something you feel as if you are going to spit it back up by coughing or burping, because thatcould it be acid reflux.
Tsuru
Tsuru
Anyway, my situation isnt THAT bad, despite it sure feels scary to experience without knowledge medical or someone smart around to explain or analyze.

ps : what you could do is help @NotaNuffian bc recent ago, he also big cough but far worse. And rec to take x-ray seems decent advice to him.

If you are coughing after eating this can also be acid reflux as well as allergies. Or is it just aspiration?

Np you are not rude, and we are friends so we know each other.

Food, cake the kind that crumble in parts.
+ Breathing (and other factors)
=> Felt like entering the breathing treachea.
Tsuru
Tsuru
So unlike usual "wrong treachea situation" (anyone as a kid experienced) this one seemed heavier / unsure it was expulsed / coughing a lot / difficulty gulping saliva / felt like vomiting / etc

= Like you said, aspiration.
Tsuru
Tsuru
But anyway, false alarm.
Or at least, too small to truly be a problem (god i dislike this kind of "dusty/crumbling cakes"). Or probably expulsed and the body was just a bad state after the "accident".
Tsuru
Tsuru
  • pain while swallowing
  • choking
  • coughing up food
  • hoarseness
  • feeling like something is stuck in your throat
Yep, that is what i felt. But i waited a little.
And seeing i didnt have this symptom :
  • a fever higher than 100.4°F (38°C) degrees
and others were diminishing.
Its basically fine.

ps : used this site to check about aspiration

Reason i was so scared, is that, the "difficulty swallowing" (this shit was weird as f and i knew its not a good thing), the mega coughing like lungs coughing out, sure seemed big bad news.

Thankfully, my luck-balance, made it it didnt worsen to the worse scenario / false alarm.

(but i'm sure tired of this shit that i have 2003502305825 small begins-medium problems)

Anyway, gonna try to solve the mold/dust situation.
And try to live more healthy for my poor lungs/windpipe (mostly, if not, only this the problem, not lungs).

Ty for giving advices, sure helped (+confirming my suspicions of the sourceprobl). And they comforted me.

ps : Nota is having it more harder than me.
