Think it is a kind of new low.
Like rebooting Urusei Yatsura, they upped the graphics but fucked the character traits.

Are they doing a reboot of Ranma? This isn't good news, but it could be worse. Since the Japanese are doing it, I'm moderately optimistic. It could turn out to be a masterpiece like HxH 2011 or a disaster like Berserk with all that awful CGI. If Hollywood were handling it, I'd already be up in arms.

True, but nonetheless, its a heavy blow.
Also a big error that people misunderstand about "this logic".
I use this logic too but unlike most people that use idioms (like "customers are always right") they forget the 2nd part / true logic, i dont.

Bc i have no clue if people are fool full of optimists, but facts (of2000years) have proven that humans are repetitors and/or likely to do same mistakes.
But tldr its like Blizzard games. People "it could be worse" "it could be worse" "next game probably better" "movies is maybe not bad" "its not out yet cant be sure"

I thought of this nice analogy : A drunk violent gambling husband. (blizzard/gameindustry/devs/moviemakers/animestudios)
You got someone, that hit multiple times wife in the past.
He takes money and do crazy stuff with it.
Dont listen to her.
But the wife, keep giving a "a new chance".
And ONE GOOD GESTURE => WOW ! HUGE PRAISE.
And its what is facepalming.

If its anything like the Kenshin reboot, it will look way better but have other issues with it. Still like og kenshin better. Example: reboot soundtrack was awful. Cinematography was uninspired to me. But great animation and faithful characters.
That simple.
Even a kid 9years old can understand.?
