@greyblob :meowsip: If you think so. And even then? What exactly is subjective?

Kitties and chicks (baby chicken) and any "youngs" are cute.

Its the "grown-ups" the not-so-good ones.

If you think highly of your work, criticism challenges your view. If you do not think highly of your work, criticism affirms your view.

:meowsip: That is an objective difference, not a subjective one.

I'm the opposite. I always though people giving positive feedback were lying. Yet I still hyperfocused on negative.

:meowsip: You assign a different quality to the same object. That is an objective difference. In fact, you reverse their effect.

The same way, a medicine has different effect depending on the test subject. That is an objective difference born from their depositions. In this case, psychological ones.

But if you didn't receive the criticism it badly, then it wouldn't be, from a subjective point of view, negative, to begin with. As the criticism would be not negative for them, but in fact positive, then in the true sense of the word.

The only way for "negative" feedback to be negative, but still having positive effect is from an external point of view, from an objective point of view.

:meowsip: Which you do. You make general conclusions, which is the moment you leave the subjective perceive sphere and extend them to a broader picture. That is the moment your conclusions become objective.

:meowsip: Or to make things simpler, greyblob, the only way to perceive a subjective view like the one you describe is from outside.

If you are inside the system, you cannot perceive it and others. So in order to compare your subjective view with others, you must be on an external, objective plane.
