Also, do you think the soulslike community has changed a lot since DS1?

Nioh and Nioh 2 just aren't fun. I beat them, but then again I don't find fun in difficulty. Most of what I play are Turn based RPG's these days that require more thinking than pattern recognition or combos.

DS1 is very different though, I agree. It was also a slog to get through for me, but I can see why others enjoy it.

I think soulslike community has changed a lot since Demon Souls. I didn't even play Demon Souls, but from all the playthroughs I watched, it was an exceptional and conceptual work.

DS1 is also exceptional, but it lost a lot of things that made Demon special.

Like the aforementioned difficulty, or replay value.

Souls games have fanbase that's allergic to any type of criticism. You either praise all of the games or gtfo

Persona 5 was very fun. I had a good time playing it.

Unfortunately I can't buy it on steam, and I really don't trust those key selling online shops. I had a blast playing P4, and from what I've read it's the worst one out of P3 P4 P5. So I can only salivate at how good P5 will be.

Nobody cares if you criticize newer souls games. The people that do are obsessed. Go ham. I already said I don't like ER as much as DS3, and I can accept the bad parts of DS3 even when it's my favorite game.
