Even the tragedy of a small side named character, could influence the whole and elevate to the point of ascension. Ex : The traveling adoptive old man taking care a little girl. Trope (Daddy restaurant. NU)

3) Lot of series only became masterpieces after a tragic event. Mushoku (timetravel). GurrenLagann. Plastic memories. Lelouch. Pokemon first episode and first movie. etc

It is not a necessity.

Ma'am, we have wish fulfilment like Easy Life and Slice of Life.

No one wants to constantly stare at tragedies and miseries in the world of fiction, there is already plenty to share around IRL.

You put Tragedy into fiction, you better have a way to relieve it or take it behind the shed, if not you will be losing readers.

Sometimes a story is meant to give you a unique perspective on life, but sometimes a story is an escape. Escapism isn't bad. So long as its not the only thing you do.

@NotaNuffian My bad, I typoed. "Necessity" for "timeless series that will be remembered for years/forever"
Ty for pointing it out my slip.

And yes, i hate tragedy, and love slice-life / wish fulfilment.
Anything done too much, is bad. That works for both sides. Too tragic or too ez = bad. (unless rare exceptions)

I respectfully disagree, good entertainment for me (and probably you) needs some drama and tragedy but many don't want drama and tragedy in everything they watch.

I feel like that tragedy is the peak of the series is not true but the reverse that many peeks of series have tragedies in them but many peaks are just a little bit dramatic, some don't have drama at all.

What i meant.
Is criticize current "works" that always save at very last moment of a dying person and more.
Or a sad mood chap, its so well written, you got lot of people crying for them bc a person is dying. Bam, next chapter, MC : i got a solution EZ PZ (:blob_facepalm:)
Now its like movies or TV shows, any "bomb with timer" = instant think "it will be solved at last s"

Like i said. I typoed. and edited.

Tragedy, necessity = for TIMELESS WORK THAT WILL ENTER HISTORY OF WORKS ALWAYS REMEMBERED.

A great story will make you feel emotions and maybe make you ask questions, but its harder to write. Instead, just make a good slice of life comedy with a witch, and make people entertained for a moment to forget it later. Though, they will never forget Mary Marcy.

That take is far more valid or just make a religion.

YES.
Like i said. Its correct. And i like it.

But for ffs, could you hear me when i say : [Its needed to have it become a "unforgettable work for eons"] ?
I feel like i am talking to wind
As much it make me sad, lot of sliceoflife series wont turn into masterpieces remembered later.

Also depends on what is a masterpiece. One of the most timeless works of fiction is fairy tale. Various fairy tales in their modern iteration are timeless. Not sure if you can call them a masterpiece but they have no tragedy.
