Well......When you say it like that....Its technically correct.

By the simple logic : What is complicated. Means more details. More details, means more plot. More plot, means likely "better"

Easy example :

A isekai. There are elves, orc, demi-humans, dwarves. MC go kill the demon king. MC is betrayed after. MC get revenge. End.
vs

A isekai. Frieren. There are elves, orc, demi-humans, dwarves. Demons since time immemorial want to kill humanity. They dont have feelings nor empathy for other lifeforms. Romance between different species exist but often end in tragedy because of lifespan difference. The hero party composed of an high elf, human, and dwarf, after innumerable dangers and adventures, succeeded to save mankind.

So yeah with this example. Its easy to see which one is likely higher quality.

ITS ALSO WHY old series, were better. Like "To aru majutsu"
or "Mushoku Tensei"
because they were complex="confusing"
