Every time I see something like that, I have a simple answer:
"Dunno, ask them."

Well to that I can say "Why didn't you read something better, exactly, cus bad decision is better plot wise" but I don't want them to pull up a PhD and a thesis in quantum physics to slap me across the face :blob_blank:

Are they supposed to be rational? If a character is prone to being irrational in the past it makes sense for them to do so again.

I made up a reason why my character was stupid at the time but normally I'd go, "you know what, I didn't think of that! I'll keep that in mind later"

You are one author. It’s impossible to see every angle, and no person would either. Even if a decision is logical, it doesn’t mean a character will do it.

There are numerous reasons a character won’t make a logical/best decision. It could be because of stress, or simply, the character never thought of that.

Sure, it looks like your friend’s message has some typos and jumbled letters, but I can help you make sense of it. Here’s a cleaned-up version of what she might be trying to say:
"Humans are stupid and confusing. Rationality is made up of so much more than just logic. Emotions are as important in every rational decision-making process."
