I have already finished Heinlein's "The door into summer" which I rate very highly, although the last part is somewhat dubious from a moral perspective, as well as another book that I enjoyed a whole lot more about physicists from a less known author that probably does not have an English translation. The latter one had romance written in a way that didn't feel like it was done to get an item off a list too.
