Reminds me of that thread, where someone asked for the origin of a "villainess otome game". Turns out there was none. I think if you look for it, you won't find a super cliche isekai or super cliche shounen. They all have this or that twist. In that sense, Chinese cultivation novels are all super cliche. That's the genre where you can subvert as much as you want.

I think no novels can ever be literally the same, especially if they have different authors. Even word choice and the way it's said will be different.
