Then don't choose. Make one slime and the other snake. Have them use a beast/monster technique to take human form. Or just flip a coin.

Depend what comedy you want to write. I don't see anything that could be fun with a parents race to be honest. But if you make the dad a slime, you can have flashback to how he encounter the mother and tried to "devour" her, then you go the comedy way and do anything you want with it.

You could always do the "half and half" joke with neither being fully human. One parent is a Naga/Lamia and the other one is a jelly in the form of a human. The two together produced a human-looking snake jelly.

Call me a downer but having a fixed form for an amorphous blob (yes I am ignoring sphere mode/ snot gob as a form) just sucks.

Also, isn't Naga/ Lamia just human top snake bottom? Just have a female lamia getting inseminated by a slime via unbirth play.

@NotaNuffian wouldn't that mean immunity to physical atttack tho, but vulnerable to elemental ones, I think it's way more diverse and cool than flesh and bones which is very mid on everything

Also, I call big BS that fire is a weakness. Yes fire is a major elemental weakness to all, but one can layered charred flesh as chitin exoarmor for fire retardant.

Heat on the other hand might need some foam or blood cooled system.
