@Sleds The last time I head about it(when that Brazilian dude who made, sweet baby inc detector talked with asmon) it's the whole point of Brazil. It's their shtick. They don't speak Spanish. They speak Spanish they wasy people speak English in a non-English country.

lemme give you a history lesson that I don't really remember so it might be inaccurate

in the past, there was a lot of Germans, Italians, and Japanese immigrants

I guess the Germans and Italians mixed with us pretty easily, I mean, the Portuguese are white after all.
the Japanese, however, suffered a lot.

politicians openly said that there's a "yellow problem" in the country that they needed to eradicate...

That harsh, he missed the opportunity to get anime culture and make money from it

so for a while, the Japanese isolated themselves from the rest of Brazil, bringing their own culture and creating their own schools for the Japanese children.

I mean, if they're going to be hated by them, why learn their language? just take their lands, do their jobs better, and teach your children your own language...

Never know about that.

the other immigrants did some things similarly, teaching their children German and Italian, but they were mostly accepted, so they quickly assimilated amongst us

the Italians had a easier time, Italian is a lot closer to Portuguese than German and Japanese, after all

but then things slowly changed, the Japanese got accepted, respected, and brought their culture together with ours...

Is this where BJJ appears?

I was born in a city with a lot of Asian immigrants, I had two Asian friends and I think the mayor is an Asian now.

there was even a statue of Doraemon and the three starters from Pokémon Red.

there's a Japanese neighborhood in São Paulo that is basically a mini Akihabara, filled with weeb things.

the biggest comic creator here made a crossover manga with Astro Boy, apparently him and the creator were friends or something.

in conclusion, everyone lived happily ever after.
