It happened a few times in mistborn yes. But Brandon sanderson doesn't usually leave their readers hanging like that.

They are also completed books and not WN, so you can binge past it. Though, my example was the beginning of The Way of Kings. Kalak(?) guy becomes a slave, and he talks to this spirit. Then it switches pov to the noble girl.

Though actually, it wasn't that bad reading it. Both characters had interesting things going on, but I remember thinking it was clever. I would get hooked into one plotline, and then start to binge past the next plotline only to get hooked into that one before it switched back over. Devil's writing.
