I was told on several occasions that mine were too slow paced for a long time but it turns out that most of the people who complained just wanted an OP protagonist right off the bat with constant action. That was not what my story was about nor was I about to let it become that.

@Paul_Tromba There is a difference between "Slow plot" and "Wrong Genre." People ought to learn that.

I have sometimes people complaining, but come on, I write 1k chapters. At worst, you sit 8k words with a POV you don't like. Not 30k, 40k, 50k words like somewhere else.
