Facts... It feels like all that time was wasted... I could have been doing productive things that showed results... Sadly life often throws curve balls... All you can do is adjust and move on...
Compared to comforting, i feel that you monkee should go vent somewhere. Like screaming very loudly in a mountain (or deserted place) nearby.
You probably dont know it yourself but there is hidden anger probably inside you and venting is the best thing to do in this cases.
Its better compared to brooding over it and fake "turn the page".

Hmm, though I feel yelling into a void doesn't help. However, venting is something that can help a lot.
Guess it depends on the type of person, and whatever helps you release the emotion. Crying may also help.
