your advice is always well-thought-out and considerate. I appreciate when those offering advice also offer their reasoning behind it

I think I just overthink things I say a lot, or overthink things I said before. Of course, there is always a way to say something better that might've been missed in the moment, or there might be unintended consequences to what I said. Like if someone only took what I said, and it caused their novel to suffer I would be at least indirectly responsible. Then there is the matter of my qualifications to give advice.
@RepresentingEnvy I would like to say this:
1. Qualifications- posters are posting on a free web novel forum. You’ve got just as much right as anyone else to respond and are just as qualified. If someone wanted “professional” advice, they could look somewhere else. Scribblehub forum, Scribblehub responders
2. The matter of Advice: A novel suffering would have varied and multiple causes. Suffering would not appear out of nowhere due to a little bit of advice. An author would probably be able to gauge if the novel was trending downhill, etc. Not all advice works for every novel, but that’s not your fault.
Execution of said advice and the judgement call on whether or not to use it is all up to the author. You could give the most brilliantly advice in the world, but it won’t matter if the execution is awful.
3. Doubting yourself: The fact that you are considering these things proves that you are kind, intelligent, and caring. You put a lot of thought into your responses, which is a good thing. Please just be sure not to let any feelings of doubt hurt you :). Someone giving awful advice wouldn’t be considering these many factors.

Now you are giving me advice! Thank you! I do feel silly after when people tell me things like this because if the situations were reversed I would probably tell you the same thing. I guess being yourself is harder to see what you are doing. It's like the difference in third person omnipotent vs. first person.
@RepresentingEnvy I’ve been there! I have to give myself pep talks all the time lol. It’s nice to have confirmation on how things look from an outside perspective because it can get a little stuffy inside of one’s one head.
Good example is just this week I got so anxious when my manager texted to check up on how I was doing. I was convinced I was going to get in trouble for some nonexistent something, but they just wanted to make sure I was doing ok lol (it’s late and I’m up working overtime so I’m rambling tonight)
