but cant mock anymore, especially now in 2023, blizzard, youtube, twitch, etc
and everything (like karens/toxicity)
turning just like they were

Mostly question of "population" hence we replicate now what they experienced before us

I see. If everything is contantly under tight control, though, eventually all the works and movies will look and sound the same. The same person is controlling them, thus there is no true variety. I'm not all that well-versed in Chinese-specific media, but just look at current woke Marvel comics and all those smut-centric NTR Korean comics.

Sure, they're not 'censored', in the classic sense of the word, but they're all curated to be similar and chase trends and target audiences, thus become extremely samey and boring.

Frustrating to read, and audiences get tired. Chinese political control only damages media in that same way, geez. This kind of thing can either lead to audiences tiring and giving up, or becoming braindead NPC's. But only time can tell that.

lot of series are crap

bc in faloo 50first chaps are FREE before paywall
hence later crap for lot of novels. To the point even a rebirth-in-past novel did a joke of comparing this writing style like a "evil cultivation technique" as an analogy when MC explained to a writer, the different writing style on internet. "It will be common in the future"

Funny thing

Now its common for lot of series to use a JPstyle cover
or fanfics directly stealing a drawing (trx website example)
AND
use same technique like JPs, to write the plot in TITLE+SUMMARY (indeed efficient)

The good point of the explosion of authors also brought bad points

Just like JPs now surcharged of isekais and harder to get very original works

and "dad" genre

Zoomers are accustomed to fastness (+ drop easily)

So authors no longer write LOT OF CHAPTERS for "reactions" of movies (record was 8ch)
now even writing 2 is a blessing, some even reduce it to 1 or 1paragraph

Also dont blame censoring for the lack of good movies

Bc if you read urban WNs
often see authors explain why china and Hong kong island (because they dont think they are same countries, kinda like KOREA north/south)
