prometheus was the first stealer not a god (he a titan), who bring fire to human, he was not the god of fire and Hestia are not too. She the goddess of the sacred fire and home, I don't know how she can be portrayed evil in your story?
She would be based on the Vestal Virgin, more specifically the punishment when they break their oath of celibacy, burried underground in a coffin with wine and food until they die of suffocation, hunger, or disease.
Not cruel enough. And why not have directly Vesta? Roman deity are not in your story? I think Vesta and Hestia I kind alike but also different in story.
@Sleds Hestia and Vesta are completely different characters in this story. It share the same world as my on-going fic, where Roman Gods, just like their irl counterparts, are a jumble mess of different gods from different religions the Roman conquered, more literally tho.
Then the dead of most greek gods can make her the main antagonist. If you have a pantheon related power it can be a good explanation to haver her powerfull
Like for exemple when gods come together and create a pantheon their power can grow or be linked and when one die the other took their divine power. Like that if she the last of them she can be hella strong and maybe chase other pantheon to took their divine power for herself once she had kill them all.
I have most of her backstory finished, I'm at the stage of wondering what her fighting style would be. Would she be a brawler that heals infinitely with sacred flame? Or demo-man blowing stuffs up with that same fire?
