Is there a difference between furry and hairy?
D

Yes. One is furry and the other is hairy.

One has hair. The other has fur.

But isn’t fit and hair the same?

Well, yes, but actually no.

They are chemically the same, but pretty much for everything not human we use the word fur. It is a semantics thing, but usually fur is denser than hair I guess.

So fur is animal, hair is human? But my shave brush uses “badger hair” so like…

There is also horse hair. I don't know man. Blame English.

Lol,
Actually.
Fur has a shorter growth period and stops growing. Hair may do the same but has a much longer growth period.

That’s why boars have both hair and fur, same with badgers.

Fur grows over most of the skin, but it’s coarse and for protection. Hair on the other hand is longer. On animals it’s usually the mane or on the tail.

Yea, but they are still pretty much the same thing. Dogs have fur, but some people call certain dogs "Short haired dogs".

Those people are wrong.

Imagine if you started calling the furry community "Hairies".

That’s be wrong since fur and hair serve different purposes on the body.
