@RepresentingEnvy if you are just a puppet on strings, or a molecule bounced around by your surrounding molecules, there is no reasoning. What we think of as reasoning is just going with the flow; the world coding you to have that “reasoning.” Unless you view air and such as reasoning a cloud into existence, then it isn’t reasoning that we do. It’s reacting. The word “reasoning” is pointless.

That's exactly why I said you can't prove that there is or isn't reasoning. Science doesn't even prove that there isn't reasoning.
Logic leap? I don't even know what you are talking about.

I disagree with the premise. Proving that you are molecules bounced around by other molecules, doesn't prove there is no reasoning. Hence, there is no logic leap being made.
You said this: That's exactly why I said you can't prove that there is or isn't reasoning. Science doesn't even prove that there isn't reasoning. Right after I said reasoning is a pointless word, because it is the world and not you making you decide stuff.
Definition of reasoning: “think, understand, and form judgements by a process of logic” The individual is implied in this as the thinker, the understander, etc. But given that this is an open system, no matter how contained and separate we seem, there is no individual (what I meant by the molecule and puppet analogy), and thus, with no individual, there is no reasoning.
