Death is serious, and if the author doesn't care about the death of their character I don't care about their story. Of course death can also be funny too. Like if I die in a hilarious way, I want people to laugh at my grave.
I didn't mean that death isn't serious. I'm saying that if you have to pick a random one, and their past life has no connection to their Isekai life, just don't do anything and skip.
(Part 1)
The part of the death of the slime guy mattered on the story because his feelings at the time made his powers.
But if you're the average guy in an average job with an uninteresting life and you die because a dog bites your dick and you bleed to death, who cares about that?
(Part 2)
The scene doesn't change anything. Just because I know they worked as a programmer it doesn't change how I see their new life that is a blank sheet with just knowledge from the past.
