Put on your dress

Dresses are generally much tighter (particularly around the shoulders, chest, and waist) and more exposing. Although that largely depends on the design, cause there can be tight robes and loose dresses. The border can be vague sometimes.

Well, and dresses are typically for women while robes are more unisex, but that's more a traditional difference than between robes and dresses themselves.
