Hey, why isn't your good demon lord lionhearted?

Just because you have good morals doesn't mean you have to have a lionhearted personality. Those two are similar but not the same.

Courage serves as the foundation for all other virtues though.

Not necessarily. You could still be moral but scared.

That is what makes one courageous. There's nothing cowardly about practicing virtue even when one fears what might happen as a result.

But then they aren't lionhearted. Lionhearted is showing no fear in the face of threats. They may be courageous but it's mostly stoicism and valor.
