I think the manga continued for quite a while, but manga are always slow to update. By now it might be at the end of an anime's second season. Or it might be further.

The manga has enough for another 2 seasons of anime. It gets even better but season 1 didn't do so well numbers wise so it was never greenlit. Plus, the manga was only fan translated after the first volume.

@Prince_Azmiran_Myrian one of the hate directed @ Gate is the allegation that it is "NTR".

You know, that scene where a Japanese captive was released, and most weebs go "REEEEEEEEEEE"?

Most weebs can't handle proper story-telling.

And, just a sliver of female characters touching another male in a story is "NTR" enough for them.

Eh? Most of the time I see people complaining about it, they say it's like a power trippy nationalism thing, an ad for the military.

In fact, Gate and Zipang are on same level of 'nationalistic' complaints by peeps.

Just that, only weebs complain about NTR.

Tbh, my knowledge of Gate haters comes from Scribblehub. I mentioned it once here and got into an argument about it. Was probably the second or third time I interacted with anyone here. Good times .

Still normal, since those things you mentioned are the problems raised by the 'normal' side of society.

Everyone's afraid of Japan returning to its military roots, hence the alarm over militaristic stuff.
