@Paul_Tromba The time period I specify is after the Roman Empire. I think there were a lot of Jews who ended up traveling back and forth and did slave trading, however there are many academics who have vested interest in disputing that right not (by vested interest I mean money since a large percentage of billionaires...) I don't want to be targeted so I will stop.

I'd also add, Precolonial Filipinos have a weird slavery system.
We have the 'Aliping Namamahay' (Home Slave) and 'Aliping Saguiguilid' (Side Slave).
First is a semi-independent slave that has their home. Second is one that belongs to their master.
@Anon2023 The thing is, I don't care. Russian nobility enslaved russian people, my ancestors were probably slaves, so I don't care about anything else.
I don't really care much either. It's just everyone is always looking for someone to blame and I wanted to point out no one is blameless, especially since slavery is always accompanied by "racism" accusations. the 19th Century was when most of western civilization abolished slavery, and even in the early 20th century most of Europe was still racist as hell.
