it happens all the time. first chapter views are filtered general views. it's like a second barrier for reader interest. if your synopsis/cover attracts them they'll check out the first chapter. if the first chapter attracts them to, they'll become second chapter views.

but even then... I feel like that's a huge drop. I think I should edit the first chap

A huge drop is when you have 1k on one chapter and 300 on the next one.

I see well then guess ill continue without too many worries. I Just thought I sucked as an author
