I'm in the midwest so it's imitation but I wish I could get my hands on fresh snow crab or maybe some fresh blue shell crabs like the ones I would catch on the Outer Banks as a kid.

That's unfortunate. I wonder if there are stores in the midwest that sell imported canned crab, since that's a pretty common way to buy non-fresh crab that isn't imitation.

There isn't that I've found. There is canned mackerel but it's not that good. Now I could get frozen crab legs but it can range from $15 - $45 per Lb.

I find frozen crab legs worth it if you can afford. That or I just hate imitation crab too much.
