Finally ending on a cliffhanger with a lot of BS and leaving the narrator to give a pissed-off rant about how dumb the ending is for ending so poorly. Eventually, the narrator just makes up an ending that wraps all the loose ends up.

Okay, what if the narrator is revealed at the end to be one of the main characters and they're sitting in a movie theater watching their entire life play out as they're dying. The ending is made up by them to convince themselves that they died without regrets.
