That should be the most moral and logical way to deal with the situation if you can’t just go down and move the people off the tracks-nyah.

Even if you couldn’t break the lever right you could still just force it to stay in that position long enough for the trolley to be stopped or derailed-nyah.

That wouldn't work. You'd break yourself first or literally just waste time. Trolleys are in essence trains and it's a low friction travel method. The idea of holding the breaking leaver in place by hand is impossible with those kinds of kinetic forces.

The question itself is kinda dumb too… a better one would be something like “You are on a crumbling cliff and you only 5 seconds to choose to save 1 of 3 people~ your daughter, your wife and your best friend! But if you save your daughter she will hate your for not saving her mom and if you save your wife she will hate you for not saving your daughter~ only your best friend would be purely thankful.”-nyah.

So who would you choose? One of your family even though you know they’ll never forgive you or the best friend who you’ve known your entire life and would be grateful~ personally I’d save my child in such a situation-nyah.

Saving lives i my view is simple. I base it first on age. youngest first, second is women, third is every other consideration. Daughter hands down

@Madkins you’d likely have a hell of a lot of adrenaline though? People can pull off miracles with extreme adrenaline~ but yeah you’d probably break yourself but it’s probably better to try that rather than make a choice that’ll bite you in the ass either way-nyah.
