I did plan to go to Russia for college, but mom was too overprotective so it's stalled.

What college? Is it in Moscow or somewhere else?

It was for medical college to study to become a doctor cause selection rate in India for it is only 1% that is 0.1 million seats in every 2.5 million candidates. So mom was saying I might have to go abroad to study but then later got worried about me getting sick and dying of pneumonia or getting robbed so far from home and we decided I'll wait one more year and then they'd send me to a private college in India.

My family tends to get overprotective. They still tell me not to touch the stove or open doors for strangers when leaving me alone at house even though I'm 20! >.<

Well... Good for you! Although I don't think you'd be robbed here. Maybe scammed, yes, but not robbed.
