Might as well add some frustration or anger because of the village's incoming disaster while being interrogative towards the demon. Like "You. You should not be here"
....I mean if I ever saw a demon... I'd have a million question to ask it! Like is it true that hell is real? When I die, can I get wifi or something similar there? What's their origin story? Do you need help destroying humanity?
....ahh well it depends on your story's protagonist's moral code. Are they chaotic good? Chaotic evil? Neutral good? Neutral evil? Or just plain neutral... doesn't care.
I don't from where exactly this was but I'm getting reminded of some commisar finding out about a chaos worshipper in W40k maybe you can search something along that for inspiration
eww no... by disgusting... I'm assuming something really ugly and disgusting like rotten egg or creepy worms.... in that case I cast it a judging side eye... scrunch my nose at it and then walk past it. I don't waste my time on uglies! >.<
if you want to insult the demon... just look it up and down... and judgingly and then innocently ask them if they feel so invalidated at hell that they have to come up to this unprotected village to project their anger on innocent villagers? Ask them that are they so weak that they have to resort to killing a feeble species to find some twisted sense of gratification? Do they have not enough money for therapy! :)
I mean between you and me... If I find a human squishing bugs and ants for some twisted pleasure.... I'd consider them a psycho and mentally unhinged. Is it not the same for demons! *asks them with a sweet smile*
And trust me! That's prick them right where it hurts!
What about rhetorically asking the demon "what more do you want from us demon? You set this place for destruction and now you won't even let us leave?"
