I love the tales series. I know the latest didn't have the best story, but I'm a sucker for romance stories (and fighting against oppressors).3. Tales of Xillia. The story is so good that if it was (faithfully) made into an anime, it would be right up there with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for me.
Warhammer Rogue TraderWhat games do you think have the best stories? Here's my top three...

2. Alan Wake. I'm replaying it right now. The only game I can think of that doesn't feel like a drag when it slows down and makes you walk from one NPC to another so they can yap at you for ten minutes.
1. Kingdom Hearts. Yes, this is absolutely the nostalgia talking. It's the game that first showed me I could enjoy a game for the story instead of just the gameplay. It's not a work of art, but it still holds up as a fun adventure story (until the later games went completely off the rails, anyway)
#1 - When the Seagulls Cry, play with the Umineko Project mod for professional voice acting and better sprites, unless you prefer this:What games do you think have the best stories? Here's my top three...

I refuse to play the 7 remakes. All I wanted was to experience the first game with modern gameplay and graphics. Who the hell asked for this stupid time travel rebootquel crap? And the remake of 7 has been insane so far
I demand 8 & 9 remakes!!!Final Fantasy 6 and 7.
And the remake of 7 has been insane so far...
Also, the Mass Effect series has an interesting story, at least up to the last 15 minutes of ME3... everything after that doesn't exist IMO lol
Hah... if they make 8 again, it needs to be from the ground up...that stupid magic junction system plus draw farming was annoying as hellI demand 8 & 9 remakes!!!![]()
Seriously, Tales of Symphonia... I must have played that game at least ten times. I just loved that world. It was both cruel, but it really gave the characters something to fight for.PS2/Gamecube era JRPG fan here, in random order:
