So I created a new fic but haven't uploaded any chapters yet. Did I screw up? I realized that new fics can show up in the Latest Series, and that's mainly how they get views until they get a following... right? Did I screw up by making my fic, not uploading any chapters, drafting for a few days and now that its newness has passed: I won't get any viewership at all...!? Should I just delete my fic? Send help.

Huh. That might be another way I handicapped myself.

But then in my case I was cross-loading from another site, so I needed a bit to get things started. Took me like a solid four months (in bits and pieces) to get everything loaded, so by the time I was ready to start scheduling, I was long past the 'recent' tag.

I still have a few readers, though, so it's not a total dealbreaker, but if you have the option you might wanna, yeah.

Nah, it doesn't go there or get approved until you upload first chapter

What the vampire above me said. You are fine.

I did this. The downside I faced was that when my first chapter actually uploaded two weeks later, I appeared on the third page of new releases.

Whether that was a fluke or not, I don't know. But I wouldn't try to recreate it and publish chapters the same day if possible to avoid that.

To not accidentally publish it, just set it to come out a decade from now.

P.S. Tried leaving a review. Review seems to have been accepted but I can't add it to a list or give it 5 stars. Try not to have a heart attack if anything shows up. I saw an opportunity and took it.
