I’ve begun to notice I have too many blond OCs or that my OCs are sun/star/light themed.

All my current OCs.
Matahari — means sun. My sunflower OC. She’s as tall as one! So like 6-7ft.
Prism — also light themed.
Eleanora — also means light. (The one in the water)
Aroura B. Alice — a rif off aurora borealis.

And my latest OC, Eclipse. Also under progress in finalizing her design.

She was an earth pony mining for gems and the cave entrance collapsed on her. One the crystals resonated with her earth magic.

Earth ponies have innate magic in their bodies that connect with the earth. Which in turns strengthens their bodies. But for her it channeled into the crystals to imbed on her head.

Now stuck in-between two world. The unicorns who don’t accept her as “real unicorn” and the earth ponies fascinated by her horn. The earth pony accept her but most want her for utility. Some who never knew she was an earth pony often have bias and prejudice about unicorns on to her.

Nora is my longest running OC. Benn drawing her since 2023 I think. Redrew her every year. This is my 2025 redraw of her.

Black and bright colors always go well; if you include a black character with black clothes, it might just look like a person-shaped void walking if you want that, then black and black is great. This is my opinion.

No, but I have a friend who’s Indonesian and they gave her that name. It fits her and it’s beautiful.

I have drawn a character who was asian. It was a portrait commission and it was hard balancing black hair a black sweater/vest. But it turned out great in the end.

Also, I checked the values in grayscale and both options look fine. The blue is lighter so it stands out more.
