In my future Beast Heroes stories, should I keep using female main protagonists, or should I start using male ones?

That's very much a "you" thing.

What do you want to write? Or what type of protagonist fits the story best? That's what you need to focus on.

Don't ask us. We don't know anything about nothing.
it's just that so far, the series has had 3 female main characters, and I don't want to bore them, and the current one I am working on has one as well, making the total 4.

On the one hand, variety is the spice of life. Could be interesting.

On the other hand, if I were your reader and liked what you were producing, I'd want you to keep following your instincts if it's served you well. There's a case for innovation, but also for "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Imma be level witchu chief. It really doesn’t matter as much as you might think outside of certain genres. If you’re writing romantasy you’re gonna want to stick with female protagonists unless you are going all the way into Yaoi.

If YOU are bored of writing women with their girly parts and feelings and cooties then by all means, but for the love of god do not make random arbitrary changes for the sake of change on the assumption that your audience wants random mixups.

If you have an awesome idea for a dude character and want to make it happen, go for it, but that should be because you have a vision. If your readers are tired of female MCs that’s… frankly a bit weird. If all of your FMCs are samey, that’s a problem that goes far beyond the genitals of your MC.

It just depends on what you want to write. The gender of the character isn't as relevant as the plot, though if you're writing for money, I would make the protagonist male and post a harem LitRPG slop story on RR so readers can self-insert.

I have a terrible addiction to answered the question as "yes" (and not in the hermaphrodite sense (except the one time, technically)), but in general I'd say to let the story dictate that, or else just do what you like.
