Feedback request: new BL smut novel bc... trends

Hi everyone!
As the title says, I decided to start a side project - a silly smutty novel I could write just for the fun of it. However, we all want someone to read our works, right?
So I humbly ask for your input and wise words.

I have posted 2 chapters so far.

I'd be grateful to if you could tell me whether:
- the blurb works
- these first chapters are catchy enough. Do they hook you to continue reading?
And whatever else you'd like to point out :)

The work is not intended to be some deep piece of literature, but I do want readers to enjoy it and have fun with it. So, please, share your thoughts!

Silly, smut-heavy, and totally self-aware. Good start. Jace reading smut is a clever hook, so no concern there... it's chaotic in a good way; kept adrenaline and... other creative elements pumping. :sweat_smile:

You're definitely writing this for pure fun and I know there are readers who'll completely slurp this up. I mean, hell, your metaphors are kind of on my brand too. :blobrofl:

Where is that police fishy at? I'm certain that little fella would love to introduce you to a community fully into the BL world. @tiaf , you're who comes to mind here.

The blurb fits. Title also checks.

Not quite sure if the fantasy world is western fantasy or xianxia setting, the cover and the paywall novel title gives me mixed information. The number of em dashes is a bit much. The opening of chapter is very, very fast-paced, which is understandable for the kind of content. Pacing of the second chapter is more comfortable to read.

Thanks for the link! I've joined the channel, though I'm more of a lurker. But the community seems really nice so far!

The setting is a western novel but yeah for the title and 'vibes' I leaned more into xianxia style to pay homage to my roots.

Noooo, my em dashes... But yeah maybe I should moderate myself a bit...
