Sure, I've seen a handful do it sooner. I've seen all number of things succeed that "break rules", but hoping that you'll be an exception to the rule is just as bad as believing you'll win the lottery.

I admit the reasoning is wrong, but I don't think the conclusion is wrong. If you approach an unknown situation that's a new 5 star rating system, how do you arrive at a conclusion of what an average rating will be? The only way is further researching any similar things. Doesn't this make it unintuitive?

Whatever I end up writing next, IF I end up writing something after my current story, I do not want more realism. The sheer amount of research I'm doing for this story is driving me mad. Though, it'd arguably be worse if I have to make everything up and keep it consistent...
