The lack of subtext in the dialogues could make the character sound robotic/inhuman, but that just my guess since I haven't seen how he write it.

You mean Kusa? I don't think it a cuss though, since it just meant 'grass', because of how Japanese people type 'wwwwww' as lol in their language, it look like a field of grass thus '草' kusa. To me, it look like he said 'I like water lol'
