I use 'as' quite a lot and waste sooooo much time because I think about ways to formulate the sentence without it.

Well, the idea sounds nice enough, but you should think of something that makes the sport more interesting. Add something special that will keep the readers interested to see how the mc is dealing with it.
Not just normal hockey, but maybe something more... brutal? Like an actual fight for life...
Yeah, I started once a story just for fun and it got 2,3k followers on RR in a very short period of time. I was pretty excited about it as I didnt expect that so many people will show interest in my little fantasy world. It really motivated me and I am writing stories ever since as a hobby...
The only problem I have with Chinese names is that they sometimes sound too similar and it can get confusing. There was once a story where the name of the antagonist was Xiao Shangguan or so, and the little sister of the protagonist's best friend was called Xiao Shaggugan. :blob_dizzy:
