Yep, since I'm 7, for my parents (I'm 39) ^.^ But I never ask them to read. For no reasons. The rest of my families, nope, though I never talk to them/they don't talk to me (I'm not interesting enough) to engage a discussion in which I could talk about it. ?‍♀️

If I'm not mistaked, a synopsis is a brief summary of the major points of your story (from the beginning to the end). What you have here is closer to a blurb, I think. In any case... this is "okay" I would say, and as generic as you stated. Not bad, not great either. It needs something to push...

In term of content it's a nice prologue. The computer finally breaking was quite comic. The last two sentences are a bit too omniscient for a 1st POV but I guess it's a trick to wanted to use as forshadowing? Now for the form... I think you should pool some sentences together in paragraphs...
